When you improve an automotive technology, you don't
necessarily save fuel. For example, since the mid 70s our
power transit becomes a third more efficient and about 99
percent of that benefit went into faster acceleration and less
than one per cent into saving fuel. That's because, I think,
of the incentives that the automakers felt they faced between
regulation and the market. That balance can be changed
