There are a few differences between cellulosic biomass and
corn kernels as raw materials for fuel production. The
cellulosic biomass is going to cost you less, it's going to
require lower inputs in the form of both energy and chemicals
to produce, it is going to be more beneficial for soil
fertility, and because of all of those reasons, you're going
to be able to produce it in much higher volumes than you can
produce corn.
