Well, even today, running a plug-in hybrid on electricity
emits less greenhouse gases than driving it on gasoline. But
the beauty of it is that you can transfer the emissions to the
electric grid from the car. It's much easier to clean up a few
hundred power plants than it is to clean up the emissions from
a hundred million cars. So as we move towards a greener and
cleaner electric grid, plug-in hybrids will themselves become
cleaner and greener
