ESP Proven True Conclusion: Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) is a proven phenomenon. Basis: The conclusion is based on a study in which people were asked to identify 25 cards that were dealt face down. The deck contained five different types of cards. The results consistently showed that the number of correct guesses was slightly higher than 20 percent. (Five out of 25 right is the rate that should have been found if the subjects were purely guessing). What factor might invalidate the conclusion?
