Right! Dinosaurs lived within the Mesozoic era, so rocks dating from
this period are likely to contain their fossils.
The Mesozoic era is made up of three periods: Triassic, Jurassic, and
Cretaceous. Dinosaurs appeared in the late Triassic period and died out at the
end of the Cretaceous period.
