You found it! The Arabian Desert is made up of all of the deserts in the
Arabian Peninsula. The Rub al Khali Desert is located in the southern part of
the peninsula and covers about 647,500 square kilometers (250,000 square
miles)—about the size of Texas. In some parts, sand dunes reach heights of
almost 300 m (1,000 ft). It's usually pretty hot in the summer, when
temperatures often rise above 49°C (120°F).
Wow, that's hot. Better check your equipment. You've already packed many
essentials, such as water, sun protection stuff, and a pocket knife. Now you
need items to help you figure out where you are.
But your new backpack will only fit three more items. Which of the six below will you take? Click on an item to try it.
I've got all three items. Take me to the Rub al Khali Desert. |
I'm running late and don't have time to get this stuff. I've got my
water and a good sense of direction. Send me to this Rub al Khali place
you keep talking about. |
