The Good Life w/ Dr. Robert Waldinger | Attribution Ep. 23

Among the roles currently held by Dr. Robert Waldinger are those of Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development, as well as being a practicing psychiatrist, psychoanalyst, and Zen priest. 

Dr. Waldinger’s new book The Good Life, co-authored with his colleague Marc Schulz, focuses on the Harvard Study of Adult Development. The longest scientific study on happiness began in 1938 and continues today, with Dr. Waldinger serving as its fourth director. The main finding of the study is that good relationships keep us happier and healthier.  

In this “Attribution” episode, host Bob McKinnon and Dr. Waldinger talk about how this study has evolved with the addition of new technologies and the central role of relationships in our lives, especially the importance of how and with whom we spend our time.
