PBS station WQLN makes exceptional, intellectually engaging historical programming on public broadcasting more available, visible, and more accessible to those in the Erie community in Pennsylvania who may not otherwise have the opportunity to engage with history programming, or to take multimedia ownership of their own histories.

Through interviews with family members and spiritual leaders from the Erie area, this WQLN Original Production tells the stories of Jewish World War II soldiers with an Erie, PA connection.
Funded by the Corporation of Public Broadcasting, the GI JEWS: Jewish Americans in World War II National Production and Community Engagement Initiative seeks to build awareness, enthusiasm and utilization of the film through the production of local companion content and community engagement events.
