 | | Name: Adrian Perez Home: Round Rock, Texas What country did you emigrate from? Mexico When did you emigrate to the U.S.? 1991 How did you arrive in the U.S.? Walked across the border. Why did you immigrate to the U.S.? I immigrated to the United States because my parents brought me. My fathers hopes had always been to provide something better for our family. With a family of 9, it was not easy to provide for everybody. Everybody had to carry their weight and learn to be responsible at a very young age. Looking back now after my college education at Oregon State University, and career as a Software Developer it is hard to fathom just where I came from. The shrubs I hid under while crossing the border. The three times I was apprehended and separated from my mother. The countless hours spent crying about what might become of me. The happiness of seeing my parents after I finally crossed the border. The happiness of becoming a citizen.
