Name: Miguel Manna

Home: Charlotte, North Carolina

What country did you emigrate from? Venezuela

When did you emigrate to the U.S.? 1992

How did you arrive in the U.S.? Airport JFK

Why did you immigrate to the U.S.? Since an early age I was enamored with the United States. A beacon of freedom and opportunity. A country where you are only limited by your ambition and hard work. Also a country truly governed by the rule of law. A system of government with no equal. I came as a student and eventually went to law school. I became an immigration attorney. My experiences as an immigrant was the driving force for my choice of practice. I find great fulfillment in my profession and the opportunity to positively affect the life’s of immigrants keeps me going when things get tough. I hope to change the attitudes towards immigrants so that this great land can benefit from our contributions.
