 | | Name: Cheslan Simpson Home: Los Alamos, New Mexico What country did you emigrate from? Jamaica When did you emigrate to the U.S.? 1990 How did you arrive in the U.S.? Airplane (JFK) Why did you immigrate to the U.S.? I immigrated to the U.S. to go to college and to become a scientist. I am proud to be an immigrant because it has reminded me of how much I have sacrificed and how hard I have worked. These facts drive me everyday to improve myself in every way possible. It is unfortunate that so many US born citizens do not know and therefore cannot appreciate the contributions that immigrants have made, especially those who look and speak differently from the approved standard.
