 | | Name: Dawn Bijork Home: Salt Lake City, Utah What country did you emigrate from? Jamaica When did you emigrate to the U.S.? 2000 How did you arrive in the U.S.? Airplane Why did you immigrate to the U.S.? Immigrated to the U.S. in the hope owning decent piece of land through a higher pay level. I came to the United Sates of America on a student visa. Land in Jamaica is so costly for a vast amount of people, it will take more than a life time pay for house on a decent piece of land. Violence is another reason I left Jamaica. It is very sad more people die from greed, caused by looters, preying upon others in the course of natural disasters, on the island of Jamaica. I also had hopes of becoming married and raising a family in a more traditional sense. Many of the suitors I encountered in Jamaica already had children from a previous relationship(s), I wished not to take on this additional strain in a marriage.
