Middletown IV Team

1999 - Theodore Caplow, Howard Bahr, and Bruce Chadwick travelled to Muncie again to replicate the Lynds’ 1924-1925 study. Caplow and his associates called this second replication project Middletown IV. 

2000 - The first results from Middletown IV were published in The First Measured Century, the companion volume to the PBS television special.
