God in America and USA WEEKEND Magazine are partnering to explore Americans' images of God.

How do you imagine God? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I imagine God to look like Mr.Frederickson from the movie up. Hes a cute little old guy with a cane!

My Beliefs

I believe ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator That Jesus Christ is my savior and that one day, probably soon, he will come back for me and judge me according to my actions on earth.
My most powerful moment of belief was ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator It hasn't necessarily happened yet. I believe in God and everything but I havent had that moment in my life where i just know that everything I believe is the truth.
My spiritual life means... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Everything really. Without it my life would be meaningless.
The biggest misconception about my faith/belief system is ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator That we force our religion onto others. I believe it's their choice and if the opportunity come up to share God's word, I'll do it.

My Faith History

As a child I believed ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator That God was going to send me for hell for any little mistake that i made. It made me a nervous little kid.
I was raised as ... your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator a Lutheran and I'm happy that i was.
Are your beliefs or practices different from your parents? If so, how and why? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes. They believe that premarital sex is okay because everyone is doing it and I disagree completely.

How I Practice My Faith

Where and when do you practice your faith? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Through everything I do. Before sports i pray to God for strangth, I go to church and worship him, and I attend a chapel service at school every other day to pray and worship God.
How easy or difficult is it to live your faith? Why? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Its difficult because of all the temptations I have to deal with daily. Sometimes I worry if I can keep resisting the same thing over and over again.

Religion & the Public Square

Should courses about religion be taught in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes. They should be offered as electives for students to choose if they want to learn about a particular religion or not.
Should the Bible, Torah, Quran or other religious texts be taught as works of literature in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes just so people are knowledgeable about other peoples cultures and learn more about thier own.
Do you feel comfortable discussing your faith with others? Why/why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Yes because i know it's the truth and that there is absolutly nothing to be ashamed of.
