I believe that God is Light. When God appears in the Bible it is in the form of light, whether it's a burning bush or a voice from above. When my children were young and asked me what God looked like, because they would see images of Him as black, or white, or even once as Asian I would explain to them that by being human we have a strong need to have a picture or an image to cling to, to make God more real and accessable to us. So, over time artists came up with drawings or images. It's easier to believe in something if you can see it. My example to them was the wind, which you can't see but it is there, and you can see what is does by watching the leaves on trees move about. God is there, like the wind, and by faith we believe in Him. His image is in all living things...Light.
