How I Practice My Faith

Where and when do you practice your faith? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator I worship on Sunday morning with a contemplative moderate Baptist congregation. I study the Bible, Celtic Christianity, Tao Te Ching, Buddhism, and other books that have become immensely valuable to me. I also practice Buddhist meditation. 1 person liked this

Religion & the Public Square

What should be the role of religion in politics? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator It should be a source of personal inspiration and strength for individuals and guide our personal choices, but it should not shape public policy beyond insuring that people of all faiths and no faith are all welcome at the table.
Should courses about religion be taught in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Only from a historical perspective or factual survey to explore the basic tenets of all faiths to foster understanding but not to persuade or evangelize others.
Should the Bible, Torah, Quran or other religious texts be taught as works of literature in public schools? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator They are important from a historical and literary perspective and the role they have played in shaping both.
Is interfaith dialogue important? Why or why not? your photo/ link/ video has been held for approval by a moderator Extremely important to foster understanding and respect.
