THE LAST LETTER

preview
schedule
An older woman, dressed in a simple black dress with her gray hair tied back behind her head, stands onstage with her hands crossed across her chest, slightly smiling. Behind her are four shadows of similar figures striking the same pose. A similar figure, seen from the back of her head, looks at the scene.
In World War II, Soviet writer Vasily Grossman was a war correspondent reporting from the frontlines when his mother—and all the other Jewish residents in his hometown—were killed by the Nazis.

From legendary filmmaker Frederick Wiseman, starring acclaimed French actress Catherine Samie and based from a novel by Grossman. THE LAST LETTER is a stunning personal testament to the memory of the Holocaust.
