Jake Heggie
The music of Jake Heggie is being performed internationally and recorded by such noted singers as sopranos Ren┌e Fleming, Sylvia McNair, Dawn Upshaw and Carol Vaness; mezzo-sopranos Frederica von Stade, Susan Graham and Jennifer Larmore; countertenor Brian Asawa; and baritone Thomas Hampson. He also accompanies many of these artists in recitals, as well as on his latest recording of songs, entitled The Faces of Love, released on RCA Red Seal. A winner in the 1995 Schirmer National Art Song Competition, G. Schirmer published 50 of his songs in three volumes last year.
