Itinerary

Current Leg : Atlantic Ocean (January - June 2005)

Iain Kerr describes the journey for The Voyage of the Odyssey:

"We will be starting in San Diego sailing first to the Galapagos Islands we know so well from Charles Darwin's work. Then we will be heading out to the Central Pacific, the Marquesas, Christmas Island (Kiritimati), Kiribati and Nauru. After that, the Papua New Guinea and Western Australia. Then head out across the Indian Ocean to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands (Australia), Diego Garcia, Seychelles, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Mauritius. From Mauritius we will head back to the Maldives.

"Our course will then take us through the Suez Canal. In the Meditteranean, we will do some work in Greece, Italy and Spain. After we pass Gibraltar we will work in the Canary Islands. Further down south into the Atlantic to the Cape Verde Islands, then across the Caribbean."

"Five years, it's going to be pretty exciting!"
