CREATING A HYBRID DOCUMENTARY FILM

Dramatic re-enactments were used in "Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela" to close gaps where documentary footage was missing. The result was a hybrid film of drama and documentary. Filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris talks about the production process for the recreated scenes in his Production Journal entry. »
