Including Henry McNeal Turner's letters from Africa, "Methodist Polity." A large collection of books written by A.M.E. Bishops and ministers. The autobiography from a passenger on the Azor ship to Liberia.This site contains "Documenting the American South: The Church in the Southern Black Community." It's a real gold mine of AME, Baptist, Methodist and Catholic church history.

Historic Charleston Foundation
Almost everything for the Denmark Vesey story was shot on Historic Charleston properties. They own several sites built in antebellum Charleston. The Aiken Rhett House and McCleod Plantation have well-preserved slave quarters, and Aiken Rhett is particularly interesting because it has an urban slave quarters.
