Almost everything for the Denmark Vesey story was shot on Historic Charleston properties. They own several sites built in antebellum Charleston. The Aiken Rhett House and McCleod Plantation have well-preserved slave quarters, and Aiken Rhett is particularly interesting because it has an urban slave quarters.
