Harmony of Mothers

Mother of nature, mother of nurture
Two parts that make me complete
One made me what I am
One made me who I am
Bound together in unity

Mother of nature
A woman strong
A woman in need
A woman in sorrow and pain
Who gave of herself for me

Mother of nurture
A woman strong
A woman in need
A woman in love and joy
Who gave of herself to me

Mother of nature
Gave me life
Heard my first cries
Dried my first tears
Hold me close to your heart and soul

Mother of nurture
Taught me life
Soothed hurt cries
Wiped troubled tears
Hold me close to your heart and soul

Mother of nature
Seven days to care for me
Only to give me to others to raise
Only seven days to hold close and love
The babe that grew beneath your heart and in

Mother of nurture
Years of heartache and pain
For a babe to be held in your arms
Years of yearning to love and hold
A babe that could not grow beneath your heart but in

Mother of nature
Separated by years and miles
Tears of sorrow shed for me
Knowing and accepting what was done
Was done for me

Mother of nurture
Joined in love for years
As mother and daughter
Knowing and accepting what was given
Was given for me

Mother of nature
United again after years apart
Nor more pain, no more tears
Your daughter has grown into woman strong
A love and bond that will always be

Mother of nurture
Loved for years as I thrived
With joy and happiness together
Your daughter has grown into woman strong
A love and bond that will always be

Mother of nature, mother of nurture
I am strong today because of you
We are bound together three
I am the daughter of nature and nurture
Joined together forever in harmony
