As Freedom Riders are arrested in Jackson, Mississippi in the summer of 1961, many are incarcerated first at Jackson City Jail, then at Hinds County Jail, before being transferred to the notorious Parchman State Prison Farm, beginning on June 15. More Riders follow throughout the summer. The conditions at Parchman are very difficult but the Freedom Riders find creative ways to support one another.
