Ansel Adams at 100
In conjunction with an exhibit on the centennial of Ansel Adams's birth, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art built this Web site. It provides an excellent Flash-based introduction to Adams's photography. The site works best with high-speed Internet connections.

The Artful Dodger
This article from the February 2002 issue of Smithsonian magazine focuses on Adams's innovation of photographic nature books. It was written by Kenneth Brower, a fellow Sierra Club member who recounts his first meeting with Ansel when he was twelve and Adams was 55.
