Officially named the St. Louis Bridge but commonly referred to as the Eads Bridge, this marvel of engineering spans 1022 feet across the Mississippi River connecting St. Louis, Missouri to East St. Louis, Illinois. It is the first steel bridge ever built and stands today as a testament of James B. Eads technical and artistic engineering capabilities.
