On September 6, 1970, in the skies over Europe, four armed teams of Palestinian Marxist terrorists leapt into action on four airplane flights. Three of the teams successfully redirected their planes and 310 hostages to the Middle East. Days later, a fifth group hijacked another plane and landed it at the same Jordanian airfield.
