I am writing to register a protest against your action in releasing General Douglas MacArthur of his command. I think it is an outrage and believe it benefits our Congress to do something about it. In fact, I have written them today telling them so.

May I suggest to you that General MacArthur probably has forgotten more about the Far East than those advising you in Washington have ever known. As a good American, I am ashamed of my President! Of course, I am not one of your followers -- have never voted for you -- and will never vote for you.

In my opinion you have committed the worst blunder of your administration.
