It was sexual freedom. It was the beginning, it changed the way we functioned as a couple. I think it also changed the lives of millions of other people as well. And it changed the relationship between men and women. It gave women a means of protecting themselves where they were not reliant upon a male, a condom, or a diaphragm that usually didn't work very well. Here was a tool that permitted them sexual expression that simply hadn't occurred ever before, except in very small communities of "bohemians", that was the word that was used.
