Plymouth Church of the Pilgrims (Congregationalist) Led by the celebrated abolitionist minister Henry Ward Beecher, Plymouth Church was a well-known anti-slavery center before and during the Civil War. The church was also known as the "Grand Central Depot" of the Underground Railroad. |
