Saint John's Episcopal Church
Montgomery, Alabama
Founded: 1834
Current Building: 1855

The Secession Convention of Southern Churches took place at St. John's in 1861. Jefferson Davis worshipped there when he was in Montgomery. The church closed during the Civil War, but reopened and began expanding during Reconstruction.
