Saint Paul's Episcopal Church St. Paul Episcopal is located in the heart of Richmond, a block from the state Capitol building. Confederate luminaries Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis worshipped there during the Civil War, and parts of the church building were used as a hospital. The structure survived a fire that destroyed much of downtown Richmond in 1865. |
