When will a program be rebroadcast?
The American Experience will not include a program in our national schedule
twice in one season. Your local PBS station does have to right, however, to
repeat a program within a certain time frame after the initial national
broadcast. Please contact your local PBS station to find out if a program will
be rebroadcast in your area.
How can I purchase a video?
To purchase a video of a recently aired program, go to the "Shop" section of our Web site. For a complete list of "The American Experience" videos available for home use, go to Shop PBS.
Educators and Librarians: you can order additional titles through PBS Video.
Who produced The American Experience theme music and how can I get a
copy?
The original theme music was composed by Charles Kuskin and the series
adaptation was produced by Michael Bacon. This music has not been published
and is unavailable for purchase. Most of the music from American Experience
films is not available for purchase.
What is The American Experience schedule for next season?
The "Coming Up" section of our Web site, is updated monthly. This schedule lists national air
dates, your local PBS station may have a different broadcast schedule.
How can I contact the producer of a film for The American Experience?
In order to contact a producer, or David McCullough, you can send a
letter in care of WGBH/The American Experience, 125 Western Ave., Boston, MA
02134. We will forward the letter for you. You may also send an e-mail by
using the feedback form.
Do all programs have teachers' guides available?
Many of the programs have Teacher's Guides available on our web site. To
access the Teacher's Guides, go to the "Search" section of our Web site.
