I was an operator because we had a switchboard with two sets of keys. The
back set of keys, you'd say number please, and the front, you would ring the
number they wanted. And we had numbers like 223 ring 11: you'd ring one long,
and one short, for 11. And that was the what we...you know, did at that time.
