Writer - Geoffrey C. Ward
Geoffrey C. Ward, historian, screenwriter and former editor of American Heritage Magazine, is co-author of The Civil War, Baseball, and The West and was the principal writer for the television series' upon which all of three were based. He is also author of several other books, including A First-Class Temperament: The Emergence of Franklin Roosevelt, which won the 1989 National Book Critics Circle Award for biography and the 1990 Francis Parkman Prize awarded by the Society of American Historians. Among his other television credits: Nixon, Lindbergh, Reminiscing in Tempo, and The Kennedys, all for The American Experience.
