My aunt asked me, she said, "Do you know what you're getting into?" I don't remember now how I responded to that, but if I responded truthfully, then I would have said, "No, I have no clue what it is that I'm getting into." I didn't know, really, what it meant to be the wife of somebody in the Army. It's an incredibly challenging way to live.
