American Experience: Daughter From Danang
An American Experience program that explores the "collateral damage" of war, Daughter From Danang documents an Amerasian adoptee's quest to find her birth mother in Vietnam. The site visits her two native cultures through her eyes, takes a trip to post-war Vietnam in photographs, includes "Doonesbury" cartoons on Operation Babylift, and presents a discussion area for posting opinions about the program, the issue of children born to American GIs and Vietnamese mothers, and the Vietnam War.
