War Letters: Rochester Writes Home is a local WXXI production featuring correspondence to and from Rochester area soldiers who served in every conflict America has entered. The program’s goal is to honor local veterans and active military who have dedicated themselves to the defense of our country. There will be extensive community outreach around the program, and WXXI will partner with other community organizations to use this project as an educational resource. WXXI is looking for letters written to or by soldiers, nurses and anyone else who served America during the Civil War, the Plains Wars, the Spanish American War, World War One, World War Two, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Somalia, and the Balkans.
