White also acts in the film. Though not a professional actor, he appears in a variety of scenes, including one in which he was wearing full war paint. “I felt like…it was 400 years ago,” he recalls. “I was just engulfed in it. I didn’t even know what I looked like, but I just felt something that was so strong.”
