Online Poll

It's 1942. All your friends are wearing the new thing: zoot suits. Your parents say that only bad kids wear those suits, and if you wear one, people will think you're a delinquent. And it's true that the police and the newspapers are calling zoot suiters "troublemakers." It also takes a lot of material to make a zoot suit -- and wartime rationing is in effect.

Is it more important to you to express your style and wear the zoot suit, or do you think it's better to conform to conventional pressures, under the circumstances?

Wear the zoot suit

Don't wear it

If rationing weren't a factor -- if the nation weren't at war -- would you have a different opinion?

Wear the zoot suit

Don't wear it
