A small group of Paralympians and Olympians toured Britain last fall, visiting competition sites and also getting a feel for London’s amazing attractions. In this video, Allison visits the Velodrome, where the cycling events will be held, and then the Houses of Parliament.
17-year-old American swimmer Ian Silverman broke the world records in the men’s 800m and 1500m freestyle S10 events at the Can-Am competitions in April. Congratulations to Tatyana McFadden, who won the London Marathon just six days after winning Boston. McFadden had said she would compete with the victims of the Boston bombings "in her heart." She set a new course record with an unofficial time of 1hr 46mins 02secs. And Happy Birthday, too - today is Tatyana's 24th!
