Arlie Sulka Arlie Sulka has been an active professional in New York's art market for close to 30 years. After graduating Smith College (B.A., art history) in 1978, she moved to New York, where she worked at Plaza Auction Galleries, Inc. as senior cataloguer for the Art Nouveau department. In 1980, Ms. Sulka was directly recruited by Lillian Nassau, world-renowned expert in the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany, to work alongside her in her legendary 57th Street gallery.

Mrs. Nassau personally educated Ms. Sulka by confiding her knowledge and expertise with continuous hands-on training. Before Mrs. Nassau retired in late 1982, Ms. Sulka was fortunate to have often accompanied Mrs. Nassau to numerous museum and gallery openings, auction exhibition previews and sales, and visits to private clients' homes.

During her tenure at Lillian Nassau LLC, Ms. Sulka, a known specialist in late 19th- and early 20th-century decorative arts, has been a devotee to the works of Louis Comfort Tiffany and Tiffany Studios, particularly his blown glass, lamps, windows, and ceramics. Her love and extensive knowledge of Tiffany has enabled her to place important Tiffany objects in private collections and museums throughout the world. Ms. Sulka has researched and negotiated the acquisition of thousands of objects offered to the gallery, authenticated and appraised objects for clients, and has arranged for temporary loans for museum exhibitions pertaining to early 20th-century decorative arts.

Ms. Sulka lectures in museums around the country, has published articles, has worked as a consultant for various museums in the United State and Europe, and is a part-time lecturer in the NYU Continuing Education Appraisal Studies program. Ms. Sulka serves on the Board of Directors of the National Antiques and Art Dealers Association of America, Inc.
