Prarie Home companion is such a delightful show. No violence, no profanity, just honest-to-goodness funny humor and music ! Thank you, Mr Keillor for years of enjoyment and laughs and toe-tapping fun !

Praire Home Companion is one of the best shows on both radio and TV and thank God our local PBS station in Fort Myers, Fla., runs it on Saturday and again on Sunday afternon. Mr. Keillor is an outstanding performer and artist and I have listened to his radio shows for years and have enjoyed each and every one.
I never miss your show. Your humor is so dry and yet so over the top. I just wonder how you keep on coming up with such funny and zany circumstances of life and virtual life. Thanx for it all!!

I love to spending saturday, night upstate New York, out of the city, cooking dinner and listening to Prairie Home Companion. It makes me think of simpler times. Thank you Mr Keillor for your grand sense of decency.
I have seen Mr. Keillor three times in person, and I will not see him again. In my area he always plays in the town of Ocean Grove,NJ, and his show is totally Christian oriented. I will continue to enjoy his radio show, but in person- forget it.
Praire Home Companion is a part of my Saturday nights in Cochecton Center, New York. The program is a true “variety show” that touches the hearts and minds of the commom person. Since all of us have much in commom, this delightful show meets our entertainment needs. Thanks for the laughs,
Gene
I’ve been a Prairie Home Companion listener for years. It’s great that, wherever you are in the US, a public radio station carries this show. It’s a staple in my weekend entertainment menu.
Long lauding Garrison Keillor a national treasure, I also second Mimi Stern as above! And while APHC humor seems within Christian comfort-zones, it’s DIS-oriented by teasing most all religiosity.
I “discovered” PHC after Robert Altman’s movie. What a joy each Saturday has been since!
Thank you Mr. Keillor
This is a gem of a program that, I’m ashamed to say, I discovered a bit late in the day. And a special mention to Sue Scott and her hilarious “Mom” in “The Chosen Son” sketches! Never heard anything so funny, as “Mom” lathers herself into a suicidal mess!!
In an apartment on the Upper West Side, I listened to the very first broadcast – it was love at first sight!
Just finished watching the PBS documentary that featured your visit to Lanesboro, MN “The Man in the Red Shoes.” We attended the Lanesboro show and thoroughly enjoyed it…..even if it WAS raining! Enjoyed seeing a bit of a recap of that grand evening and the wonderful footage taken of our lovely surroundings. We enjoy your show weekly. We listen to it on Saturday evening and again on Sunday morning…..just in case we missed something! Thanks for your entertaining style and for being such a down-to-earth-regular-guy! Fame has not gone to your head…..and it makes you all the more special. Have a great summer and come see us again!!
Will the program “the man on the radio in red shoes” be a rerun at any time?
Garrison Keillor is truly an American treasure. He is a modern-day Mark Twain.
GK is one of very few people that I am constantly in awe of. How he can produce so much work and all of such great quality is just beyond me.
I have tried all my life as a writer to do what Mr. Keillor does so well every week, which is to deprive this world of some of its loneliness.

Ahhhh, the joy of seeing live radio come ALIVE!!! We love the storytelling, extemperaneous aspects of Garrison, the sound effects, his ability to capture the Lutheran, Minnesotan essence. May you forever live on!
Am I right to think your work gelled and became lighter and more profound (together) when you returned to St. Paul, MN and had a young child?
By working from the heart, you’ve significantly improved our quality of life.
Bless you!
Just another a-theist.

My husband and Isaw you only once -in summer of 1983 at a
program you gave at Interlochen music school (we were at an Elderhostel). we had never heard of you. we went home and became fans. we have your books, read your column and listen to you on the radio, always smiling.
Whether what Garrison Keillor says is from his memories of from his lively imagination, it is Truth at its most pungent level. When I first heard his broadcast from MInnesota, it was Love at first Listening! Liz Kerry in Missouri

HOW CAN I ORDER THIS DVD?
Enjoyed the show – July 5, 2009 very much. I would like the name of the music performers, one of which played the wash board. Thank you very much.
This is a real guy, no pretense. Not in it for the money, not in it for the fame. If only there were people like this on TV. Maybe that’s why he’s on radio?
Loved the show. I’ve been watching (listening) from the beginning. How can I order the DVD?
In my youth I thought GK was the last true square, as in totally unhip. Then as I added a few birthdays he suddenly became a rare genius, which is what he surely is. His is the wisdom of everyday life, all dressed up in sometimes suave, sometimes folksy duds.
So thank you, Mr. Keillor. You are a great, timeless entertainer, and a great hero of mine.
