It is now time to lift this nearly fifty year embargo imposed on Cuba! Why?, because it does not work, it has not worked and it will never work. Human history has proven that ideas follow travel and trade. The best thing is to let this happen of its own accord with Cuba. Additionally, does it not strike us rather odd that we had a war with Vietnam and we have travel and trade with the country? Also, we have travel and trade with China, the largest of all communist countries? Finally, we are shooting ourselves in the foot economically by denying U.S. business a market of 12 million, only ninety miles away, people who need and want our goods.
Finally, let common sense guide us concerning the Cuban embargo; lets lift it, end it, travel there, let them travel here, share ideas, and do business for our own good, and for that of the Cuban people.

The Presbyterian Church in Cuba is indeed very socially active. In so many ways the gospel hits the street in Cuba in very real and basic ways often hard to comprehend in the US, but informative and inspirational in every way. Thank you for sharing this story.

LETS NOT REACT BECAUSE OF A 50 YEAR EMBARGO,OR 100 YEAR EMBARGO. WE SHOULD ALLOW THE PRESIDENT, WORK TOGETHER WITH HIS ADM,TO CONVERSE WITH CONGRESS,AND THE SENATE. TOGETHER THERE SHOULD BE COMMON UNDERSTANDING WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS TO FOLLOW A POSSIBLE LIFT ON THIS EMBARGO. IF THERE IS A GO ON THIS TOPIC THERE NEEDS TO BE A 1 YEAR TRIAL ON THIS HISTORIC MOVE. IF THINGS WORK THE PRESIDENT,SENATE AND CONGRESS COULD GIVE THERE BLESSING TO CUBA FOR A BETTER FUTURE TO WORK TOGETHER.
