Hispanic religious celebrations such as Our Lady of Guadalupe, etc., are tremendously beautiful. Americans should incorporate these celebrations into parish life. Why don't the priests step up and offer these celebrations in the parish? About women working in the Church...why don't the priests come out and say that men should be in the teaching roles rather than women? Isn't that what St Paul taught? It has nothing to do with man-woman equality, but rather comes from the fact that God made man from nothing THEN he made woman from man. In the order of things women are lower in "authority" than men. I don't take offense to that. If we followed the order that God originally planned, life wouldn't be so confused and complicated today. Unless told right from wrong, people will not know. More explicit examples of what should be done and how needs to come from teaching preferably through the priests.
