The Boss Frank T. Crowe was the chief engineer for the Hoover Dam project. Tall and homely, with ears that stuck out, Crowe was equally effective as solver of technical problems and as a leader of men. Crowe loved construction sites. "I can't see why anybody would work in an office when he can be in a place like this," he told a reporter. |
