6.1
INT. CORRIDOR LEADING TO R&D CELL. Tom is walking back to his cell. He is unescorted. Camera is framed on a medium shot and is walking backwards in front of him.

TOM
So, I'm in 6 months and - I'm at mail call and mail call is a big thing because not  everybody gets mail.  In fact, a lot of guys never get mail.  Once you go to  prison, a lot of people you think you know - girlfriends, wives, friends - BOOM  -  they're gone.  And you're really all alone in there.  Believe me, when you get  mail, it's a big deal.  So they call "Boyle". It's good to get mail.

Tom walks into the open cell. Cut to ...

INT. R&D CELL. Camera starts tight on an open envelope addressed to Tom lying on bed. Tom reaches down to grab it. Cut to wider shot of Tom looking at envelope ...

TOM
I go back to my cell and I open up this envelope and it's a letter from my wife.   It's double spaced and printed with block letters, yellow pad, and it's real clear.   She wants a divorce and she doesn't want to talk about it.  [Tom looks up at  camera.] You see, when you're in prison, people don't have to talk about it.  You're on the inside and they're on the outside and the only way to talk to them  is to make a collect call. That's it.  People don't have to accept collect calls.  [Camera begins slow zoom in to head and shoulders shot.] I mean look, her  husband of ten years makes some great choices one night and  basically   abandons his family.  Leaves her to handle it all. Isn't that great? Very  responsible.

Tom looks back down at envelope and camera follows his gaze. Fade to black and then up on ... Scene 7 - The End?
