New local hero Hal Rosenbluth and host Will Durst give a Lawrence Welk "champagne bubble" salute. Rosenbluth moved his corporate travel agency to Linton after reading in 1988 that the small farming community was the hardest hit in the country during the drought years. Besides diversifying the local economy, Rosenbluth's success has helped save many local farms by employing farmers who were on the brink of bankruptcy.
