The People:
- You will be woken at eight o'clock by the First Footman who will bring you up your early morning tea tray and any correspondence.
- The First Footman will act as your valet. He will run you a bath, shave you and help you to dress.
- It is customary for the Master to conduct daily prayers. The Household will be expecting them to take place in the Main Hall at a quarter-past nine.
- At half-past nine Breakfast will be served in the Dining Room.
- The rest of the day is to be spent as you please. However it is customary for visitors to call in the morning, and any correspondence dealt with. It is more common for outdoor pursuits to be conducted in the afternoon.
- At one o'clock Luncheon will be served in the Dining Room.
- At five o'clock Afternoon Tea to be served in the Drawing Room.
- The First Footman is available to assist you in dressing for Dinner from seven o'clock onwards.
- At eight o'clock Dinner is served.
- After Dinner it is customary for the Gentlemen to retire to the Billiard Room and the Ladies to retire to the Drawing Room.
- The Butler or First Footman is available to assist you to undress when you chose to retire to bed for the evening.
