A Republican member of Congress told Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Tuesday that there's "strong bipartisan support" for a program designed to help communities protect against natural disasters and climate change.

The Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program was eliminated by the Trump administration in April.
Rep. Tom Cole of Oklahoma told Noem during a House hearing Tuesday that the BRIC program has been "extraordinarily helpful." He said he wants to know more about the department's plans to "reform those grants."
