Today marks exactly 365 days since the starting pistol of the 2016 race, when Texas Senator Ted Cruz became the first in either party to announce a presidential candidacy. Since then the field of hopefuls swelled to 22 and shrunk down to the current set of five. We can't say we feel nostalgic about the past year of rollicking campaign news, but this unpredictable, eye-opening and important election cycle did make us want to look back a little. And we wondered, what do people remember from the haze and heat so far? And what already has been forgotten?
